These terms govern your use of Northstar. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Personal planning tool

Northstar helps you record information and organize personal finances, tasks, and goals. It does not hold, transfer, invest, or automatically move money. Northstar is not a bank, financial adviser, accountant, or legal adviser, and its calculations and AI responses are informational rather than professional advice.

Your account

You are responsible for accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your password, and activity performed through your account. Notify Northstar promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your content

You retain ownership of information you enter. You give Northstar permission to process that information only as necessary to operate and improve the features you request, secure the service, and comply with law.

Acceptable use

Do not use Northstar to violate law, harm others, probe or disrupt the service, gain unauthorized access, distribute malware, or submit content you do not have the right to process.

Availability and changes

The service may change, experience interruptions, or discontinue features. Northstar will take reasonable care in operating the service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Keep independent records of information that is essential to you.

Account termination

You may stop using Northstar or permanently delete your account inside the iPhone app. Northstar may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or comply with law.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Northstar is provided “as is.” You remain responsible for financial decisions and for verifying calculations, classifications, dates, currencies, and AI-generated drafts before acting on or saving them. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded in your country.
